Netia Holdings, the largest alternative provider of fixed-line local telephone services in Poland, announced that on April 15, 1999, the General Shareholders Assembly of Netia Holdings S.A. approved the US$50 million increase in the equity underwritten by Telia AB, its main shareholder.
